I have experienced the educational AI applications like ALEKS which analyzes the learners’ performance and provide personal feedback and tailored question sets. When I took the GMAT test, I was also told that the system is based on similar algorithm where the questions appear for different test takers are based on the correctness of the former question they answered.
These kinds of AI applications used for educational purposes have existed for sometime and are still evolving. I think it would still be influential and play an important part in education for many years because AI has developed enough to perform well in these areas and it also saves a huge chunk of time for educators. These kinds of tasks like recommending students problem sets based on their performances in assignments and tests are easy to perform by AI and would give the educators a lot more time to do other tasks that require more complicated procedures. It could also generate forms or graphics of analysis of the students performances so that educators could see where the students’ general problems lie in.
I believe that the analysis of students’ performance using AI would still have huge impact in learning and education for the next few years or longer because it could save so much time for the educators and is more precise than manual operations. The AI applications that provides students with personalized problem sets or even relevant courses, knowledge packs are also going to be impactful in the future because these would allow educators to spend time on more complicated tasks in education. This will also require the educators to be more aware of this kind of technology and be more media literate.
The video below is not necessarily related to the multimedia in education but the new idea of the “new normal” in education is really interesting and would involve the development of multimedia.
Here is a brief look of the future of education with implementation of developed multimedia.

Hi, qiaoyang.
I couldn’t agree more with your thoughts on AI helping with learning. One of the significant advantages of AI in education is that it is very efficient. With the help of image recognition and voice recognition, AI can quickly provide feedback to the learner’s input. This is a speed that humans cannot achieve.
What do you think about this?
Hi Qiaoyang,
I totally agree with your thoughts on the ability of AI can help learning. AI can assess and analyze student performance and save time for teachers to do other works. AI could help learners find the information they need quickly by recognizing images and content, make learning more efficient.
