I really like it that you mentioned that “inclusive design is not only about the needs of the average user but also about considering the needs of marginalized groups.” I think as a society there are always “marginalized groups” not only in terms of people with disabilities, but also people in other areas who may be marginalized for various reasons such as poverty or mental problems. Being inclusive is not only taking care of those “marginalized groups” who needs extra care, but also taking in their perspectives of the world and see and understanding the world with their views which can be valuable.
I also agree that you mentioned that designers cannot expect the users to be perfect. I wonder if it would always take the designers to have certain disabilities to be able to design products that could be inclusive, or do designers only need to see the perspectives of the disadvantaged individuals to be able to design for inclusion? What do you think?
